Taking a lesson from the SEO Rapper

Keeping content interesting is always a challenge, especially when you’re dealing with an especially dry topic.  While some experts may consider SEO to be fun and fascinating, let’s face it most people visiting your website don’t.  But there are some things that you can do to engage your readers and keep it funky while also getting your message across.

A few years back, during a marketing conference, a guy named Chuck was getting ready to speak.  Noticing how disengaged the audience was, he decided to throw in a rap to make his presentation more interesting.  While his actions could be considered risky, they paid off in a big way.  His presentation was a success and landed him several more speaking engagements at SEO conferences across the country.

After becoming an instant youtube sensation, Chuck is now known as the SEO Rapper to those in the industry.  I’m not saying that you need to become a rapper to get your message across, but all bloggers and marketers can take a lesson from this.  You have to take risks in order to stand out from the crowd and get noticed.  Of course you have to start out with good content, but if your audience isn’t receptive then it doesn’t matter anyway, does it?
